Are psychedelics legal in CO?Colorado decriminalized certain natural psychedelics for personal and communal use in November 2022. Individuals are now allowed to grow, possess, gift and use these substances without facing criminal penalties for personal consumption. However, the distribution, production, and sale for commercial or business purposes remains a criminal act. Jornada does not engage in the sale of any Natural Medicine. Any payment to Jornada is strictly for legal harm reduction or support services as allowed by Colorado law. Any sharing or acquisition of Natural Medicine related to Jornada’s services are done in strict compliance with the sharing and personal possession provisions of Colorado law. It's essential to stay informed about the evolving legal framework and compliance requirements to ensure responsible and safe use.

What psychedelics do you work with?At the time of writing this, psilocybin and psilocybin mushrooms, DMT, and mescaline not derived from Peyote have been decriminalized in the state of Colorado. All other psychedelics remain entirely illegal to grow, manufacture, possess or use.

Do you treat mental illness?No. Jornada and all affiliates do not provide medical services or mental health therapy and thus do not diagnose, treat or cure any mental health illness of any kind. All participants are encouraged to seek independent medical clearance from their own doctor or mental health therapist before engaging in Jornada’s ceremonies. While no member of Jornada’s team are a state licensed psychedelic facilitator, as such licenses will not exist until 2025, all team members have experience in holding space and ceremonies for the spiritual use of psychedelics.

Do you sell psychedelic substances/plants/fungi?No. Jornada does not sell any psychedelic substances in any form. By attending any event Jornada offers, you agree that any psychedelic obtained or consumed before, during, after, or in any way related to that event is NOT part of your purchase of a ticket to the event and you will only acquire such substances in a manner compliant with Proposition 122, the Natural Medicine Health Act.
